“Hold on!” you shout to your crewmate. You put your knife between your teeth and rush to the ratline. As you reach your crewmate, you pull him upright. He clutches the rope while you untangle his leg.

Meanwhile, Morgan pulls his ship alongside yours. Morgan’s men rush over the rails and jump on deck. Guns on both ships blaze, but they are useless in this hand-to-hand battle. You know what you must do — rush back down to the decks and fight.

Before you can do that, however, one of Morgan’s men cuts your ratline. It goes limp in your hand and you fall down to the deck. As your crewmate falls overboard, you crash onto the deck. The impact knocks you out.

When you awake, you are aboard Morgan’s ship. Ropes dig into your skin. You try to wiggle free, but the ropes hold you tight.

Morgan’s men shout and cheer as they rummage through their new riches. You look around, but don’t see any of your crewmates. Finally, one of Morgan’s men notices that you are awake.

Just then, Morgan approaches. The crewman says, “Say hello to your new captain.”

You gulp as you realize what’s happened. You’ve survived the battle, and now you’ve been pressed into service as part of Morgan’s crew. A whole new adventure awaits you.
